It deals with two Western countries, living under the rules of constitutional democracy (U.S. and France) which originate from different legal traditions (common and civil law), a post-soviet country with the emerging rule of constitutional democracy (Russia) and an international court (European Court of the Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms), which exercises certain influence on the latter two countries (France and Russia).
