DOPS is highly structured tool for assessing competence in practical procedures that trainees undertake and most commonly used workplace based assessment instrument. DOPS serves the twin purpose as assessment and enhancing skill learning. Present study has been carried out to study the utility of Direct Observation of Procedural Skills (DOPS) as an assessment tool for Post graduate students in Medical Microbiology.
