REBECCA HAMILTON Human rights activist who spearheaded the campaign which led Harvard University to divest from the Sudan. After other universities followed Harvard's lead and divested from Sudan, she assisted the special prosecutor at the Hague in the historic indictment against Sudan's president Bashir on genocide charges. In 2007, she was selected as a Global Young Leader on Genocide Prevention and has worked with internally displaced populations in Sudan. Currently, she is aKnox fellow at the John F. Kennedy School of Government, USA, and will be in the Sudan next year reporting for Slate and the New Republic as part of the Pulitzer foundation award.
