Autoren-Porträt von Kieran Walshe, Judith Smith
Kieran Walshe is an academic with 20 years' experience working in health services research. He is the author/editor of four books and over 50 papers in academic journals and is now director of the Institute of Health Sciences at the University of Manchester, which exists to promote collaborative and interdisciplinary research in the health sciences. He is also director of the National Institute of Health Research service delivery and organization (SDO) research programme, which exists to serve the evidence needs of the NHS management and leadership community.Judith Smith is an experienced health services researcher and policy analyst at the Nuffield Trust who has studied health care organization and management in the UK and internationally. Before joining the Nuffield Trust in February 2009, Judith was based at the Health Services Management Centre, University of Birmingham for 14 years, where she carried out a programme of research and teaching focussed on health commissioning, health management and leadership, and primary care. From 2007-2009, Judith undertook a visiting research fellowship at the Health Services Research Centre in Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand.
