Antibiotic usage is a common trend in Aquaculture for both disease treatment and promoting growth, but highly criticized by government policies and consumers for their residual accumulation, the emergence of antimicrobial resistant strains, and their potential harmful effect on human health. It is hypothesized that herbal growth promoter (HGP) can be a promising alternative to boost the aquaculture production.

Al Hasan, NeazThe Author was born on 5th January, 1992 in a remote village of Sirajganj, Bangladesh. He completed his graduation in 2012 from Sylhet Agricultural University and post-graduation in 2014 from Bangladesh Agricultural University (BAU). Currently he is working as a research assistant in a collaborative project between University of Exeter, UK and BAU.
