It is an organized pattern of behaviour which exhibits the people's belief system, system of thought in relation to child rearing and upbringing, as well as their notions of appropriate behaviour and definition of good life. It represents the whole system of transmission of a people's culture from one generation to the other in order to guarantee social and cultural survival. Every human society therefore has a system of cultural transmission as could be found in their system of socialization and covers all ages from infancy to adulthood.This book investigated the history and development of Western education in Southern part of Taraba State in Nigeria, and ascertained its contribution to the general growth of the area, the State and the nation at large.

Dauda Agbu, AtandoAtando Dauda Agbu was born on 27th May, 1980, and he holds B.A. (2001), M.A. (2012), and Ph.D (2017) in History, and lectures in the Department of History and Diplomatic Studies, Taraba State University. He is a member of the prestigious Historical Society of Nigeria and he is happily married with three kids.
