Steier and Patel founded Food Law International (FLI), the first interdisciplinary legal institution of its kind with a comprehensive approach to teach the intricacies of the various aspects of international food law and policy. FLI's goal is to further interdisciplinary legal education toward a more environmentally sustainable, healthy, and ethical food production around the world.
