Klappentext zu „Leadership Passages “
Leaders face numerous critical crossroads in their careers, moments that can either provide extraordinary learning and growth opportunities, or trap and prevent their further development. The good thing about these rites of passages is that they're predictable, and with proper preparation, leaders not only can weather them but also become more effective leaders as a result. This book lays out specific "leadership passages" based on the authors' research, interviews, and coaching experiences in such well-known companies as Johnson & Johnson, Novartis, Intel, GE, and Bank of America. For each passage, the authors describe what to expect, how the passage constitutes a choice point, and what effective leaders do to navigate and grow from the challenge. Some of these passages include: moving into a leadership role for the first time, dealing with failure or the loss of a job, losing faith in "the system," understanding the importance of family and friends, and the impact of personal upheavals such as divorce, illness, and death. The authors provide a wealth of practical tools and techniques to improve leadership skills, along with real-life examples from well-known leaders.
