David Sklar ist als unabhängiger Consultant spezialisiert auf Software-Entwicklung, Strategie-Planung und technische Schulungen. Er war Mitbegründer und Chief Technology Officer von Student.Com und TVGrid.Com. Bei beiden Firmen war er für die Architektur und die Entwicklung verschiedener Systeme verantwortlich, die personalisierte dynamische Inhalte für Benutzer auf der ganzen Welt liefern. Nachdem er PHP im Jahr 1996 als Lösung für seine Bedürfnisse bei der Web-Programmierung entdeckt hatte, hat er PX eingerichtet und ermöglichte damit PHP-Benutzern den Austausch von Programmen.
