Professor James Moriarty - arch-enemy of Sherlock Holmes - left the underworld of Victorian London behind several years ago when he was forced to flee to America. Now he has returned home to find that the huge criminal network he set up has been seized by 'gentleman' crime lord Sir Jack Idell, alias Idle Jack. There's no other option: Idle Jack must fall. But the new crime boss is not an easy target and he'll use any method possible to secure his right to prey on the high society of 19th century London. And he won't let Moriarty stand in his way.

Rezension zu „Moriarty “
'One of the most cruel crime bosses in fiction' Scotsman. 'Gardner revels in getting the details of, say, the food or the thieves' slang of the period right This is the world of the Holmes stories, but fascinatingly viewed from the bottom up, through criminal's eyes' Sunday Times.
