Growing environmental consciousness from the nineteenth century has led chemists to search for environmentally friendly, non-polluting media and processes for chemical synthesis as alternatives to conventional organic solvents. In the past two decades there have been numerous advances in organic synthetic methodologies that which have made it possible to avoid the use of hazardous chemicals. Investigation in different chemical fields has synthesized substitutes for organic solvents and identified new materials such as ionic liquids (ILs). The unique features of ILs, which can be tailored at the molecular level by an appropriate selection of its ionic units, have new path of processing options. ILs are now widely recognized as suitable for use in organic transformations and offer possibilities for improvement in the control of product distribution, enhanced reactivity, ease of product recovering, catalyst immobilization and recycling. The main aim behind to publish this book is tohighlight on the synthesize of transition metal complexes from amine functionalized ionic liquid-supported Schiff bases and their Physico-chemical property and exploration of their biological applications.
