New foreword by Douglas Brinkley No One Left to Lie To, a New York Times bestseller, was scandalous when first published in 1999. With a wicked sense of humor, razor-blade indictments, idiopathic anger, high élan, and a wheelbarrow full of undisputable facts on par with Norman Mailer¿s The Presidential Papers and Hunter S. Thompson¿s Fear and Loathing: On the Campaign Trail ¿72, Christopher Hitchens makes the case that President Bill Clinton, the so-called New Democrat, with the help of his Machiavellian-Svengali consultant Dick Morris, aimed to maintain personal power at any cost by making promises to the Left while delivering to the Right.
"By far the best of all the books on the Clinton era." -Edward Said, Al-Ahram Weekly
