White painted Black and Red potteries dated 3000-2000 B.C. was first introduced by the Ahar chalcolithic culture. Painted grey ware begin in upper Ganga plain around 1600 B.C. Oldest N.B.P. potteries dated 1400-1300 B.C. were reported Dr. B.R. Mani from Ayodhya. Excavation Black slipped pottery begin around 1200 B.C. This book is complete documentation with colour photographs Ancient India potteries which includes corded ware, Hakra ware, Amri, Nal pottery, Shahitump painted Grey ware, Mature Harappan red ware and Black on red, Ahar, Malva and other chalcolithic potteries.
