Klappentext zu „Pressurised Gyration: Dispersion of Nanoparticles in Nanofibers “
Pressurised Gyration (PG) is an innovative technique to produce nanofibers on a large scale for several biomedical applications. PG permits to manipulate the fiber diameter through some parameters such as polymer concentration, working pressure and rotating speed. Silica nanoparticles were introduced into nanofibers using PG process, with the aim to give functionality to the nanofibers generated. Polymer and solvent used to produce nanofibers were PEO (Polyethylene oxide) and water respectively. PEO and silica concentrations proved to have a strong impact on the dispersion of silica nanoparticles into nanofibers. Among all PEO and silica concentrations, many tests revealed the minimum concentration to produce nanofibers containing silica.
