Lawrence M. Krauss ist Professor für Physik und Astronomie sowie Leiter der Fakultät für Physik an der Case Western University, Cleveland, Ohio. Er ist Verfasser zweier weiterer Sachbücher, die ihm viel Lob und Anerkennung einbrachten. Für seine Arbeit ist er mit mehrerern internationalen Preisen ausgezeichnet worden, unter anderem 1986 mit dem Prsidential Investigator Award des Weißen Hauses.
