There has always been a burning debate between the efficacy of a conventional coronary angiogram and a CT angiogram in order to rule out coronary artery disease in patients undergoing valvular heart surgery.Though there are obvious certain advantages of a cardiac CT with so much upgradation going on in imaging field but the question is: Is it robust enough to completely replace the age old conventional angiogram in this ever changing advancement in technological world.This book is an attempt to throw some light on this issue and compare the efficacy of both this procedure with some practical implications in the management of patients with valvular heart disease taking into consideration their comorbities and other relevant socio-economic factors.
