Peter H. Reynolds wurde 1961 in Kanada geboren. Er ist preisgekrönter Autor und Illustrator von vielen Kinderbüchern und Gründer einer Firma für Bildungsmedien, die Animationsfilme, Bücher und Software herstellt. Außerdem ist er Miteigentümer der Buchhandlung seiner Familie. Er lebt in Dedham, Massachusetts.Megan McDonald wuchs als jüngste von fünf Schwestern in Pittsburgh auf. Nach dem Studium der Kinderliteratur in Boston und Pittsburgh arbeitete sie in Buchhandlungen, Bibliotheken, Schulen, beim Kindertheater und in einem Kindermuseum, bevor sie sich ganz dem Schreiben widmete. Mittlerweile hat sie zahlreiche Kinderbücher veröffentlicht. Gemeinsam mit ihrem Mann lebt sie in Sebastopol in Kalifornien.
