This book, therefore, tries to identify the difference between physical and chemical properties of terraced and non-terraced farm plots, and to explore the opinions of farmers on construction, maintenance, problems and benefits of terraces in Anjeni area, North West Ethiopia. The result of this work is important in giving information for any concerned professionals whose interest is on SWC and/or environment.

Ayele, Alemayehu AssefaAlemayehu Assefa Ayele was born in July, 1982 at Bure, Gojjam, Ethiopia. He completed his first degree in 2005/2006 at the then Alemaya University. He attended his MA and PhD degrees at Addis Ababa University and University of South Africa (UNISA), respectively. He is now an assistant professor of Geography at Wollo.
