The study focused on the development of a remuneration framework for improved performance in state owned enterprises in Namibia. The main objective of this study was to develop a remuneration framework for improved performance in state owned enterprise. The study used qualitative methods as a research strategy. The research study employed the data collection method of using qualitative from the Ministry of Public Enterprises. Qualitative data was gathered using semi-structured interview. The study focused on board mebers remunaration as representative of the board members for each of the 97 state owned enterprises in Namibia. In addition, the study used a case study approach. Ministry of Public Enterprises (MPE) is responsible for setting up board members' remuneration act to ensure that public enterprises are placed in a position where they will be well managed so that they do not exist as a financial burden to the state.
