Mark Watson, geb. 1980 in Bristol, ist Romanautor, Kolumnist, Radio- und Fernsehmoderator und international erfolgreicher Stand-up-Comedian. Er ist außerdem Fußball-Experte, studierter Literaturwissenschaftler und Umweltaktivist. Seit 2010 führt er einen täglichen Blog, in dem er sein Leben von dreißig bis vierzig aufzeichnet. Er ist bekannt für Marathonauftritte, die 24 Stunden und länger dauern. 2010 absolvierte er eine Solotour mit 50 Shows und mehr als 60.000 Zuschauern. Der Evening Standard nannte ihn einen 'Gelehrten, Gentleman und brillanten Komiker'. Mark Watson lebt mit seiner Frau und seinem Sohn in London.
