This research and scholarly work describes the suitability of using some statistical methods and applications- PCA (Principal Component Analysis) in particular for analyzing climatic parameters: Temperature, Rainfall and Relative Humidity as very important universal components or factors of crop production. As well as relating soil productivity in specific and selected crop production areas like groundnut, rice and maize productions in The Gambia for a nine-year sequential period. Consequently, adequate rainfall, optimum atmospheric temperatures and the right proportions of relative humidity are equally expected to determine the right quality mix of available soil, on which crops and animals thrive best. The continuous development, availability, management and usage of crops and animals depend entirely on the soil. Therefore natural resources survey provides the baseline data from which invaluable information is obtained that is ideal and needed for effective development policy planning and decision making processes for both state (government) and non-state actors (non-governmental organizations) alike.
