Kazuo Tanishita, PhD, Professor, Institute for nanoscience and nanotechology, Waseda University President of the Society of Rheology, Japan Editor, Journal of Biorheology. Congress committee member of IUTAM Fellow International Federation for Medical and Biological Engineering Fellow, Japan Federation of Engineering Societies Honorary member, JSME -Kazuo Tanishita studied mechanical engineering at Keio University and received his PhD in 1975 studying gas transport in the artificial lung. From 1976 to 1981 he was research associate at Tokyo Women's Medical College, from 1981 to 1984 he was assistant professor at Keio University, from 1984 to 1992 he was associate professor at Keio University and from 1992 to 2012 he was professor at Keio University. He retired Keio University and became a professor emeritus of Keio University. From 2012 he was professor of Waseda University of nanoscience and nanotechnology.
