Both claims are regarded as true even though they are conflicting. Can both be right or does one have to be wrong so that the other can be the right one? Should interpretations of texts be taken out of their contexts? Is revelation progressive? Can methods, structures and practices be adapted to fit distinct situations? If women should not stand before God as ministers, are they also exempt from the judgment that will happen before him? These questions and many more are wrestled with in this thesis and plausible solutions were also offered.
