Produktinformationen zu „Abuse for Use (ePub)“
Abuse for Use is a story of a teenage girl given in marriage and sent to America fulfilling her parents, and not hers, American dream for a desired comfort level in home life. She almost lands up in a shelter home because of abuse instead of use.
This is a story of conflicting interpersonal interests, contrasts in practiced values, varied interplay of coping resources and prevailing sources of help, feelings and emotional exchanges between diverse mind-sets, ambiguity of facts, imbalance between her reality, and interpretations by her parents seven seas apart.
This is a story of dependence on helpless factors, opposing expectancy levels, personality deviations, varying tolerance thresholds among people, overstretching of strengths, fighting of weaknesses, and dissimilarity in perceptions of virtues by classes of the same community.
Abuse for Use is a record of recollections, a record of sequential events originating from severe mental cruelty to gradual adaptability of circumstances, of experiences leading to growth and development, finally climaxing into a gospel of teachings for all other women to feel empowered and to be able to fight for their civil rights.

Autoren-Porträt von Jannah Azaan, Roshan Chirag
JANNAH AZAAN, of south east Asian origin born in North Africa to a doctor diplomat, graduated in the faculty of Commerce with aspiration to join civil services, but underwent a premature submission in marriage to a US citizen, influenced by the American Dream. Came to USA 15 years ago leaving behind the world she had at a young age of 20. Her ‘American dream’ got shattered by physical abuse, mental cruelty, atrocities of climate and a culture gap, accompanied by social, economic, cultural and emotional shocks. She survived on her own; with of course the God gifted help of a domestic violence resource.
She emerged out from the darkest folds of life, got stabilized, acquired legal status, joined banking service, achieved performance based promotions, was blessed by a daughter, shouldered responsibilities of a single mother and ultimately settled down in life after the second wedlock with a Professional and conceived another daughter.
She took over a 3-decade old family run business, transformed it both inside and outside, taking it to the next level via social media, public relations and sheer hard work. Gave it more prominence than before among the South Asian community, within and much beyond the boundaries of America.
She conducts community events for the welfare of the society, started a charitable foundation for the less known deserving, earned a prestigious reputation of mastering ethnic fashion for the last decade and has compiled this autobiography. She holds a responsible role in her family and lives a life of content.
