Produktinformationen zu „Canoeing & Kayaking Georgia / Canoe and Kayak Series (ePub)“
Covering thousands of miles of Georgia's waterways, Canoeing & Kayaking Georgia is the definitive guide to Georgia's whitewater to wilderness swamps--and everything in between. This updated edition incorporates the exhilarating new urban whitewater course in Columbus, and the recently established water trails that actively welcome recreational paddlers throughout the state. Now expanded to cover more waterways in Southwest Georgia--Kinchafoonee, Muckalee, and Ichawaynochaway Creeks--you only need one book to figure out where to float, no matter what type of boat you paddle.
Autoren-Porträt von Suzanne Welander, Bob Sehlinger
Though always in love with rivers and wilderness, it wasn't until recent years that Suzanne Welander began canoeing in earnest. Inspired by the beauty, variety, and challenge of Georgia's rivers and streams, the former desert-dweller transformed into a whitewater canoeist and wilderness tripper. Together with her husband, she trolls the state in search of the wild and scenic beauty only accessible by waterway.Veteran paddler Bob Sehlinger has led canoeing trips throughout eastern North America and is the former president of the Eastern Professional River Outfitters Association. He is the creator of the Unofficial Guide travel series and a recipient of the Lowell Thomas Gold Award for journalistic excellence. Founder and publisher of Menasha Ridge Press, Sehlinger lives in Birmingham, Alabama, where he enjoys mountain biking and playing the drums.
