Christine Arata wrote her first published article, Compassionate Caregivers: Experienced Voices Heard in 2011. She continued the following year by gaining a Certificate in Personal History Writing. From that, she began her memoir business that included a blog. All the while, writing film reviews and features for a UK film service site. Kitty Giver evolved after that and was a business and blog site devoted to cats, art and culture. That site grew with interviews with notables, reviews of feline films and books, and aimed to elevate the status and thus bring better treatment toward cats. After those two ventures, she decided to become a freelance writer and author.
