"CLEARING THE AIR: AIR RAGE AND OUTRAGE - Volume 2" is a true story written about the aftermath of an in-flight assault. After a twenty-year career as a professional flight attendant, Greta is viciously attacked in an unprovoked physical assault by a passenger. Rather than receiving support from her employer airline; Greta is instructed to remain silent and to forget that the assault has taken place.
To the contrary, as a direct result of her in-flight assault, Greta responds to a calling to speak-out to the problem of violence within the commercial airline industry. Wanting to imbue a message of fairness and advocacy deserved by all flight attendants; Greta encounters resistance to her dedicated research into the issues of "Unruly Passenger" and crime victim's rights. The story becomes an indispensable portrayal of an airline's sinister management style of intimidation which Greta encounters while fighting to maintain her employment.
This true story describes years of harrowing experiences of cruel retaliation by an airline-employer which sets about to discredit her. Elements of women's rights and the #Metoo Movement are also prevalent through parts of the memoir.
"CLEARING THE AIR" is highly relevant to current times and to long-enduring labor problems within some airlines. This autobiographical account depicts an antagonistic airline through an accurate representation of actual inter-office emails, airline reports, depositions and court testimony.
The issue of 'psychiatry for hire' by corporations is also examined as is the repeated misuse of psychiatric evaluation.
The story ends with a replication of the jury trial, Greta L. Anderson vs. American Airlines, Inc., during which the airlines is soundly exposed for its wrongdoing.
The author 's intention is that the air be cleared and the truth be told so that the rights and the earned respect of cabin crew members be lifted and take flight!
