Chardonnay has been immersed in military her entire adult life. After growing up in my small hometown, I left to join the army, and it was a passport to a wide world. I spent six-and-a-half years in the military, and after my commitment, I made VA my home. I'm an army veteran and currently working with other veterans at the VA Hospital. I'm also a wife and mother of one who was the motivation for this book.
