The definite purpose of this book is to share information and knowledge (based on facts and not opinion) with all those who love horses and want to understand not only how to see postural faults that compromise comfort and performance but also have a desire to make the necessary changes to better them. I will reference some of the common problems you may be experiencing with your horse therefore allowing you to have a better understanding of where the issues may be coming from. A better understanding is a more educated horse owner, and a more educated horse owner saves money.
Autoren-Porträt von Dino Fretterd
Dino previously worked on people for seventeen years, specializing in muscular/skeletal dysfunction. During this time, he worked with chiropractors and orthopedic surgeons aiding in their patient's recoveries. He has also had a special attraction and love of horses, so it only seemed natural for him to apply his expertise and knowledge to help horses. He started working on horses in 1996 after he received his certification in Equine Massage Therapy from the Optissage in Circleville, Ohio. His endeavor started slowly, but with lots of love, persistence, and trust by the trainers, he was soon being referred to everyone on the show circuit.Dino is privileged to say that his equine clientele has a range from backyard buddies to World Cup and Olympic level competitors. To watch Dino work with the horses is a sight to behold. His calming demeanor and respect for the horse enable him to get incredible results from his bodywork. He has had many veterinarians seek his expertise in evaluating injuries.
His methods are based on the simple basics of massage and stretching. He uses simple hand placements and body mechanics to ensure safety for both himself and the horse at all times. He listens to the horses and watches their reactions to determine the points that need the most attention. The horse's reactions to him are incredible.
