Billy Neal Moore story is of a confessed, and convicted murderer who was sentenced to die in Georgia’s electric chair in 1974. Overcome with remorse and grief for his crime, he wrote letters to members of the victim’s family, apologizing for his crime.
They were so moved by his sincere sorrow, that they had compassion on him; forgiving him and continue to correspond with him for sixteen years. Being extremely grateful for their forgiveness, he not only turned his own life around, but he became determined to help transform the lives of everyone he touch with his salvaged soul.
Billy was forgiven for his heinous act by the members of the victim’s family. After sixteen and a half years on death-row, teaching and preaching love and forgiveness which he received to his fellow inmates and to hundreds of folks around the country. His own life was spared seven hours prior to the execution.
At the impassion pleas of the victim’s family and the unexpected intervention of Mother Theresa, Billy’s death sentence was commuted by the Georgia Board of Pardons and parole to life.
