Toby Widdicombe is Professor of English at the University of Alaska Anchorage in the United States. His previous books include Simply Shakespeare and A Reader's Guide to Raymond Chandler. He is the former editor of the international academic journal Utopian Studies and the current editor of the sf wiki Clockworks 2.TOBY WIDDICOMBE is an associate professor in the Department of English at the University of Alaska Anchorage. His interests include American literature and culture, detective fiction, utopianism, and the literature of war. He has written books on Edward Bellamy and on American culture in the 1830s, and his articles have appeared in such journals as English Language Notes, American Transcendental Quarterly, Utopian Studies, and Emerson Society Quarterly.
