But she also discovered that life is not without miracles, as her story will show, including the birth of her son, despite her health issues. Her memoir is a reflection of how her life was changed by chronic illnesses and how the support of those around her and her faith in God help her to succeed in spite of her difficulties. Told with sincerity, Sheilas story will inspire others to understand that the only thing in life we can really control is the reaction we have to what happens to us.

Sheila Dembowski has dealt with chronic illnesses throughout her adult life and hopes that her memoir will inspire others to live each day to the fullest. It is her desire to make her readers aware of the challenges that people with chronic illness face and the truimphs that they can attain. Sheila currently works as an elementary school librarian and teacher. Additionally, she writes book reviews for the local paper in her home town of Wausau, WI, where she shares her life with her husband, Jim and their son, Michael.
