Joy Thompson is the current program director for court appointed special advocates of Mesa County in Grand Junction, Colorado. Joy has spent the past five years working with child victims of abuse and neglect, including children that have been placed in foster care. Joy has worked with abused children as a victim advocate, court appointed special advocate (CASA), and forensic interviewer. Her first book, Lily Meets Her CASA, explores the world of the child in foster care and the importance of the CASA Volunteer. Look for the sequel in late 2015.
