Autoren-Porträt von Heather DeBerry Stephens
Heather DeBerry Stephens, (Memphis, TN) and her husband, Dale L. Stephens, are the parents of two sons and two daughters. Heather, a native of Jackson, TN, is the graduate of Jackson Central Merry High School and Lane College. She also studied at the University of Memphis. Heather has always enjoyed writing poetry, plays, skits, and speeches; yet, this book has proven to be her most enjoyable piece.Heather’s childhood, being displaced from her own birth mother, placed a heavy passion within her heart to encourage mothers. She believes everything happens for a reason and she understands why and how the separation from her mother will now be used for good. She explains, “Being without my mother left a void in my spirit. Many children carry that same void today, but their mothers are right in the homes. God wanted me to identify with the void children carry; that I may advocate on their behalf.”
With a heart to help mothers grow by self-examination and commitment to Godly values in raising children, Heather desires to stark a positive, “self-help” movement for the mothers of the world. Heather believes refraining from simple shortcomings will lead mothers toward playing a significant role in restoring the family. Heather’s witty catch-phrase, “Just don’t half-step,” is a message that she hopes will penetrate in the hearts and minds of mothers all over the world.
