Dr Nisar Ahmad Chowdri graduated from Government Medical College, Srinagar and did his post-graduation from Sher-i-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences, Srinagar, India. He then pursued several national and international fellowships in minimal access surgery. He has many research publications in various national and international journals and has contributed to several books. He recently published a book titled Benign Anorectal Disorders. Presently he is working as Professor and Head of department of general and minimal invasive surgery at Sher-i-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences,Srinagar, India.
