I look at the scrap of paper as he shoves it back to me and see that my name is being crudely scratched away until it is nothing but a blank space. No face and no name, I sit, staring out at the blurred objects.
The loss of identity is a debilitating part of suffering with a mental illness. It can be a feeling of helplessness and uselessness, watching your friends, family, and life pass you by but never being able to feel a part of something or feel like you are someone.
No Face, No Name is a metaphorical journey of a passenger experiencing this loss of identity and the metaphoric characters of despair, loneliness, criticism, hope, and acceptance they meet while on the train that never seems to stop travelling.
