The digital photos are taken while the paint is still wet. I use charcoals, watercolors, acrylics, oils, and whatever else is handy. Only the digital images remain, as the painting surface is too saturated and doesn’t hold up. I love watching the paints run and create new and exciting patterns. I hope you enjoy these images as much as I enjoyed creating them.” (November 2017)This collection of “Phaintings” ™ is designed for meditation and contemplation of the beauty of the cosmos and of our souls. Expressing her multifaceted artistic talents since age five, Christofer Aven, from Northern California, is a mixed media artist who incorporates eclectic and whimsical themes with cosmic and spiritual vision overtones in her work. She is extraordinarily passionate about her creative process, which, for her, shifts and morphs through brilliant colors and textures.She has honed her skills through doll-making, jewelry design, clothing and costume design, sculpture and painting. Each medium has enhanced the quality of her work and she finds many crossovers from one discipline to another.
