Kevin Corrigan is the Samuel Candler Dobbs Professor of Interdisciplinary Humanities in Middle Eastern and South Asian Studies, Classics, Philosophy and Religion at Emory University, Atlanta, Georgia. He gained his PhD in Classics and Philosophy in 1980 at Dalhousie University, Halifax, Nova Scotia (under A. H. Armstrong). His recent work is focused on ancient and early medieval thought, particularly Plato, Aristotle, Plotinus and later Neoplatonism, on the one hand, and the Cappadocians, Evagrius, Augustine, on the other. He is the author of a series of articles on late Antiquity as well as another collaborative book on Plotinus: Treatises 30–33 for Les Belles Lettres, to appear from Vrin, Paris, 2017–2018.



John D. Turner is Cotner Professor of Religious Studies and Charles J. Mach University Professor of Classics and History at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. He specializes in the study of ancient Gnosticism, in particular the restoration, conservation, translation, and interpretation of the thirteen fourth-century papyrus codices from Nag Hammadi, Egypt. He has contributed translations and introductions to seven of the Nag Hammadi texts in both their English and French language critical editions. He is author of Sethian Gnosticism and the Platonic Tradition, as well as numerous articles on the relationship between the Sethian Gnostic treatises from the Nag Hammadi corpus and various Platonic treatises, particularly Plotinus, the anonymous Turin Parmenides Commentary, and the Chaldaean Oracles. Most recently he has collaborated with Kevin Corrigan on the forthcoming Budé critical editions of Plotinus' Enneads V.8 and V.5.
