Produktinformationen zu „Romance in Land Titles (ePub)“
These are a collection of short stories revealing the little intimate glimpses of the romances and tragedies that have surrounded the lives of people who have owned land and who have left the record of their joys and sorrows written into the land title papers. Behind most land titles, there is a unique story behind it and these stories are intertwined with principles of real estate law. Through each story, we see the demonstration of how the lives of people and the history of the land are the things that make our title to that property. You will discover through these delightful short stories how land was transferred through various deeds of titles, identifying the necessity for wills; the development of Houston, Texas, and an appreciation for peoples' values as well as for the past.
Autoren-Porträt
The late and distinguished Albert R. Young, my grandfather, was a practicing land title attorney in Houston, Texas for over 30 years. Early in his career, he was one of the founding pioneers in teaching real estate law classes for the South Texas College of Law. He attended/graduated from the University of Texas and the University of Texas Law School in Austin, Texas. My grandfather never passed up a moment where he could intimately share with us historical settings and the romances that are found in land titles. Leslie J. Davis-Crook: Texas educator for 28 years teaching English and high school tennis coach; native Houstonian; daughter to Mr. and Mrs. Jerold L. Davis (deceased) of Houston, Texas; currently reside in Burleson, Texas. This has taken me years to edit without taking away from the context of the desired meaning... have taken numerous real estate classes to understand the impact of what "Judge" wanted to convey in his radio broadcasts back in the 1930's and 1940's.
