Margaret Heller has everything she ever wanted in life: the perfect husband, adorable kids, a wonderful job with great friends. While on the sandy beaches of Waikiki Beach, Margaret meets adventure-loving Will who refuses to let her waste her vacation away behind a book, and her plans of doing nothing but reading and getting a tan are derailed. As she slowly begins to discover all the island has to offer, Margaret starts to remember how beautiful the world can be and how it feels to open her heart again after immense grief. But it's also incredibly painful, and Margaret must decide to either keep running from her past or face her new life head-on, in all its painful beauty.
