Cordelia "Lia" Winchester, a successful marketing director in Boston, is called back to her North Carolina hometown when her parents are injured. Despite her desperation to stay away from the place where she's known as "Little Lia," guilt forces her to hop on a plane to care for her parents and their family inn. What was intended as a short trip soon becomes extended when Lia uncovers distressing news about the inn and town's financial state and decides to stay through the holiday season.
