Smart Green Cities: Best Cases of Sustainable Communities is a comprehensive overview of what cities throughout the world are doing to become sustainable. Woodrow Clark II and Grant Cooke have produced a book that is both practical and visionary, which goes well beyond pointing out what can be done in the efficient use of water and energy. They have examined all the infrastructure needs - sustainable development, communications, energy, water, waste, and transportation - and developed guidelines, processes and best practices. Cities must be more than just sustainable, their leaders need to plan and design them so that residents can live in ways that are beneficial to the planet.
