Stone Stephenson has worked in libraries for twenty years. She is a member of the American Library Association, LSSIRT, her state Library Association and has held positions in the Paraprofessional Division as Chair Elect, Chair, Past Chair, Regional Representative, as well as serving on various Association committees. In 2008 Stone received the Paraprofessional of the Year Award. Her love for libraries is evident in her dedication to the profession and the patrons she serves. Writing has always been a desire as an avenue to reach out to others beyond the library. Though fiction, this work was inspired by an actual event and she hopes it will offer comfort and hope to others.
