Robert Hill was born in 1993 and currently lives in the city of Newcastle, South Africa, and has always wanted to be an author. He kindled a passion for reading at a young age and has tried his hands at writing since, coming away the winner of the short story competition Time of the Writer in 2008 for his South African Cinderella story, “If the Doek Fits”, as well as local essay and poetry writing competitions. This book was written while he was still in high school and he will be furthering his studies at Cape Town University in 2012.
