Biogenic nanoparticles are those particles which are synthesized by biogenic systems like plants, microbes, and fishes. Different plants possess different properties according to their use in fighting against disease. The biological synthesis of metal nanoparticles is mainly a strategy which is employed to protect against toxic and harsh effects that can often arise in the normal synthesis of such particles. The book explains the properties of gold, palladium and platinum metal nanoparticles and discusses the mechanisms behind biological synthesis. It emphasises the basic idea of various syntheses and will, therefore, be of particular support to potential researchers interested in plant synthesis.

Hiral M. Vaghela is currently a PhD student in the Department of Chemistry at Hemchandracharya North Gujarat University, India. She received an MSc in Organic Chemistry, a BSc in Chemistry, and a DPharm from Gujarat University, India. She has published three books and received an award for her presentation at the 35th Indian Council of Chemists.Amanullakhan A. Pathan is currently a PhD student in the Department of Chemistry at Hemchandracharya North Gujarat University, India. He received an MSc in Organic Chemistry and a BSc in Chemistry from Bhavnagar University, India. He has published two books, as well as various research articles.Rahul H. Shah is currently a PhD student at Pacific University, Udaipur, India. He received an MSc and BSc in Physics from Hemchandracharya North Gujarat University, India. He has published three books and a journal article.
