Jean Froissart was a clergyman with a passion for literature. While holding various church-related positions, he also wrote works of history and poetry. He lived in the time period of the 1330s to the 1400s. Originally written in French, this edition of The Chronicles of Froissart is translated by John Bourchier, Lord Berners.
