Author of novels about Seminoles, politics, earthquakes and baseball, writer Claude Walker was inducted into the Society of Midland Authors in 2003. A Loyola University alum, Walker was spokesman for Illinois Lt. Governor - now Governor - Pat Quinn. A Cubs fan, kayaker and ex-cabbie, Walker lives in Chicago with his wife.
