Autoren-Porträt von Janet Lee Gasparetti
My name is Janet Lee Gasparetti. I was born in New York and now live in Tennessee. I was married to my wonderful husband, Donald Gasparetti, for thirty-two years and recently lost him to brain cancer. We had two daughters together: Laura and Angela. After his passing, I was inspired to publish my bird story, which I had written four years ago. Our family has had a love of birds for many generations. My husband was a successful businessman, which allowed me to be a stay-at-home mom. I was voted Girl Scout Woman of the Year. I also opened up a restaurant in California called Gasparetti’s.
Now that Laura and Angela are grown, I spend my extra time making toys for my bird (whose name is Derna) and my childrens’ and granddaughters’ birds. I also like to crochet and sew and drive my family and friends nuts wondering what the next thing is that I am going to get involved in.
