I feel as though we go through seasons in our lives: spring, when things are just starting to bloom; summer, when everything is right in our lives and the sun seems to be shining; autumn, when our lives start to fall apart like the leaves; and winter, when it is dark and everything seems wrong and with no hope.

I have always lived in the area I live in now, Liverpool. I go to St Stephen’s Church, where I have been going since 1973. I get my inspiration from reading my Bible and the beauty of nature. I worked for twenty-five years in shipping, and now I have been working eighteen years in the civil service. In my spare time, I love writing poetry, going on holiday (mostly to the Greek islands), and going to the theatre (especially musicals). Like Joseph in the Old Testament, I believe dreams can come true.
