Tara Pereyra is a country girl born and raised in the South. She currently works as a counselor and holds a Master’s Degree in Psychology. She works with a very diverse group and feels that her experience has taught her to queue in on personalities and quirks that make people unique and entertaining. Before her current career, she worked as a caterer, AM radio DJ, and in a state mental hospital. Even though this is her first novel, she wrote poetry while in school and served on the newspaper and yearbook staff. She loves to read travel and spend time with her family. She and her husband Washington Pereyra have two children and reside in Brandon, Mississippi. She hopes to one day retire in her husband’s home country of Uruguay.
